Course Structure 7.5 Years

In accordance with the Gurukulam-based academic framework of CSU, the programme is divided into three major stages:

First Stage: Pre-Ayurveda – (2 Years)

This stage commences after Class 10 (Matriculation). Before beginning core medical studies, students are provided with a strong academic foundation. The curriculum includes an in-depth study of the Sanskrit language, Indian philosophy such as Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Sankhya, etc., and Basic Sciences. This foundation enables students to understand the original Ayurvedic classical texts in their authentic context and meaning.

Second Stage: Ayurvedacharya – (4.5 Years)

This is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, and multifaceted Core Medical Programme based on the standards prescribed by NCISM. Along with the direct and in-depth study of the original and authentic classical texts of Ayurveda, students will receive integrated knowledge of modern medical sciences, including Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Surgery, and other relevant disciplines.

Third Stage: Compulsory Internship – (1 Year)

In the final stage, students are required to undergo one year of intensive and compulsory clinical internship in the Outpatient Departments (OPD) and Inpatient Departments (IPD) of hospitals associated with Patanjali Yogpeeth.
